In 1995, GEEK, designer, developer, these words put together on one person, isn't it a bit surprising? Zhou Liang is the owner of these labels. Born in 1995, his hobby is tinkering, and he has created many "tricks" in his field.
Self-introduction?#
My name is Zhou Liang, commonly known as @周良粥凉 on Weibo. I am a poor student born in 1995, and many people like to call me "underage". My biggest hobby is tinkering. I have written code, built websites, and used to have some reputation in the WordPress community. Theoretically, I am a freshman in college, but I chose not to go to university, although I am still studying... A few months ago, I worked with my current boss to develop a fitness app. I am responsible for the UI and interaction design of the product, and shamelessly call myself the "design director".
Work equipment?#
I usually stay at school, which is a boarding school without internet access, so I mainly use mobile devices. My main mobile device is the recently acquired iPhone 6, mainly for information retrieval (social), reading, writing articles, and other tasks. In addition, as an extreme app enthusiast, I spend a lot of time exploring excellent apps. I have installed more than 1400 apps on my phone, so I currently use a 128GB iPhone to meet my needs. I also have a backup device, a 16GB iPhone 5, and a Nokia 210. In addition, there is a Meizu MX at home, which is the first phone I bought with my own money and has great significance to me.
My main work is design and writing some front-end code. I have a non-Retina MacBook Pro, purchased at the end of 2013. Apart from being a bit bulky, it can handle my daily work.
When working in Hangzhou, I have a Dell 2414h monitor as an external display, which can rotate 360 degrees. It allows me to watch videos and design interfaces horizontally, or write code vertically.
At home, the experience of using a MacBook with an mStand is quite good. Of course, as a designer, Apple Magic Mouse and Bluetooth keyboard are also essential. Many designers have a graphics tablet, and I have a Bamboo ctl671, but I rarely use it, so it is not useful for me.
Interests and hobbies?#
I prefer smart hardware devices and have bought many of them. From UP24 to the first and second generation of bong wristbands, I have purchased them all. The appearance of UP24 is cool, but it couldn't be charged after using it for a while. The first generation of bong is probably my favorite wearable device. Currently, I don't wear wristbands, and the bong second generation that I usually wear was recently damaged. The Misfit Shine I ordered from overseas is still on the way. I have liked it for a long time and plan to wear it around my neck when I receive it.
I also use the smart water cup Cuptime to drink water. I remember when I brought it to school, many classmates asked me what this magical thing was. Can the cup be connected to your phone?
I love reading, so I often use Kindle. But because I accidentally broke it, I can only read books on my phone now.
As a shameless and shameless young man with the label of a geek, cool equipment is definitely indispensable. I have a Ziiiro watch, the same model as Wang Ziru's watch. Because it is the same model, I have been teased by friends. Actually, it's not the same model. Mine is Ziiiro Celeste, which I think is cooler than the one in his video.
In addition, I have ic!berlin glasses that I bought from Germany. Although I don't wear glasses often, it is said that these glasses are the most suitable for programmers to wear, and they don't use any screws in the entire body, which sounds cool (actually, it's just a mechanical principle), so I couldn't resist buying them... Buy! Buy! Buy!
As a poor student, these are the products I own or can afford...
What do I want to buy recently?#
Actually, there are many things I plan to buy, but I divide them into necessities and non-necessities, make a list, and save money to buy them slowly. The recent necessity is probably a mechanical keyboard... It is necessary to choose a suitable keyboard for myself.
There are many non-necessities, such as Moto 360 and Apple Watch, which are mostly related to wearable devices because I want to study the interaction of apps in these two watches.
I basically copied the original text, but many things have changed for now. For example, I don't plan to buy a mechanical keyboard anymore, but instead consider getting a full-size Apple Keyboard. I recently read a sentence on Jaskni's blog, "The designers I like, admire, and hope to approach or even surpass are all using Mac. Most of them use the Apple Keyboard instead of the wired Bluetooth keyboard, and almost all of them use the Magic Mouse instead of a third-party mouse. I think there must be a reason for this, and that's why I insist on it." I deeply resonate with this.
